Hermann Göring Luftwaffe Headquarters, Berlin

The depicted building was the headquarters for the German Luftwaffe during WW2, under the command of Hermann Göring. The remains of the Berlin Wall are also depicted, along with the underground interrogation/torture cells of the Gestapo, as the photo was taken on the grounds of the Gestapo HQ, now the Topography of Terror museum. This photo depicts the changing landscape of Germany over 50 years, both physically and politically, with the fall of the Nazis, leading to the fall of the Berlin Wall over 40 years later.
